To accommodate design flower and plant needs, a plan was created with the commercials who sell at convention. It has been reviewed and approved by the AVSA Commercial members and the convention Show Committee. The plan provides:

• Designers with the materials needed to complete their entries, and
• Peace and quiet for the commercials while setting up on Wednesday.

Supplies for Designers

Each designer will be given a “pass” to purchase plant material in the sales room from 1:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday, May 27, 2026. Handicapped designers may be accompanied by one caregiver.

The pass lists the specific classes in which the designer is entered. No unnecessary/extra purchases are allowed.

There is a 15-minute time limit for the designer to be in the sales room. Designers who appear to be abusing the privilege will be escorted from the sales room and denied any further “design” purchases.

The Design Reservation Chair or helpers will control the distribution of the passes to the designers.

A list of participating commercials will be provided. Please do not disturb other commercials.

Commercials may choose to complete the financial transaction during this process or may allow the designer to run a tab for payment later.

Although participating commercials will make every attempt to have supplies available during this time, they may not have what you need. Please have your own Plan B ready.

Designers are welcome to pre-order supplies to be picked up at convention. This is highly encouraged.

Design reservations may be made as soon as the convention packet is available.  The deadline for reservations is May 4, 2026. Online reservations are encouraged. Alternately, reservations can be made by email or text by downloading and sending the entry form to:

If you need to cancel your design reservation, please let the Design Reservation Chair know so that space can be used by another entrant on the waiting list. To cancel confirmed reservations or ask questions, contact the Design Reservation Chair directly.
