Bay State African Violet Society, Inc.
Massachusetts

Meeting Information:  The Bay State African Violet Society, the state club of Massachusetts, meets to hold an African violet show and sale each spring, typically the last weekend in April at the New England Botanic Garden in Boylston, MA. An annual membership meeting is also held in the fall, generally in October. At this member event, a brief business meeting is held and a luncheon is served. Members have an opportunity to socialize, purchase plants and listen to a featured guest speaker. All BSAVS members receive an informative quarterly newsletter and, during the winter, have an opportunity to attend online meetings that focus on some aspect of African violet or gesneriad growing.

Our members live primarily in Central Massachusetts, but also MetroWest Boston. Gateway AVC formed in May,  2006. Several of us are judges for the African Violet Society of America, the international registry of Saintpaulia, and we are also members of the regional Bay State African Violet Society.
