My name is Maria George, owner of Mishka’s Blooms, located in Redmond, Oregon and I have been a member of AVSA for many years. I am excited to be at the AVSA Convention to sell my plants for the second year, having sold out last year at the Convention in Arizona. I also sell my plants at the Portland African Violet Society sales events, which are held twice a year. Since I am a “one woman operation,” I am unable to fulfill any orders on an individual basis.
I will be offering a good selection of standard, semi-miniature and miniature violets, many of which may be hard to find, unique, and unusual. I start my plants from leaves and some of the varieties I will be selling are hybridized by: Buckeye, Hunter’s, Lyon’s, Pittman, Rivermist and more, as well as Ukrainian and Russian varieties. I hope to be able to bring quite a few new varieties and perhaps a few Streptocarpus, space permitting.
My goal is to provide happy, healthy African Violets at reasonable prices. I am licensed by the Oregon Department of Agriculture and my plants are regularly inspected for any pests or diseases.
