Glenda and Jim Williams opened Glenda’s House of Violets in 2017 with a mission of being a one-stop-shop for growing products and supplies for the African violet and other Gesneriads communities.

Glenda is a native Texan, gardening enthusiast, and has grown AVs and gesneriads since the 1970s. She loves people, plants, public speaking, and is an acknowledged AV addict. She is fully committed to providing public outreach & education to growing communities about AVs, focusing on spreading the love of AVs wherever possible.

Jim is also a native Texan who provides “boots on the ground” support both as Chief Procurement Officer and as “Chief Mad Hatter/Fashion Connoisseur” at our sales tables during events. Be sure to check out his latest salesroom attire which can change at a moment’s notice!
