2024 AVSA 78th Annual Convention
April 21 – April 28, 2024
April 21 – April 28, 2024
With an African violet lover for a grandmother, and parents who took me to gem and jewelry shows, it seems only natural that at some point, those two interests would collide, and I would land on a path designing African Violet jewelry. With you in mind, I am releasing a special collection of sterling silver and gold vermeil pieces, just in time for convention. This collection has been months in the making, and I am so excited to share it with you! In the meantime, if you want to get to know me, here are a few fun facts:
My favorite African Violet is 8e Phnom Penh (mostly because it likes me the best and insists on blooming)
I am a member of the Magic Knight African Violet Society in Boerne, TX, and I see them as family.
In addition to making and designing jewelry, I also teach in-person classes on how to fabricate rings and pendants, and I love it.
I have an intense fascination with Achimenes and Kohleria.
I taught my son how to solder and make jewelry when he was seven.
My favorite color is turquoise, and I wish there was an African Violet that color.
Please make sure you stop by and see me while you’re there! I can’t tell you how much I’m looking forward to meeting you all at convention! It’s also the first one I’ve ever attended. I can’t wait!!
