Judge

Applications must be received no later than March 29, 2024. If you plan to exhibit in the show, please indicate which classes you plan to enter. Do not serve on entries, classification or placement if you apply to judge. If selected to judge, you will be notified of your assignment via email one week prior to convention. Applications received after March 29th will be placed on a waiting list.

Judges and the general membership are invited to serve as clerks for the convention show. Judges will be given first preference with remaining positions filled by the general membership. Clerks will receive notification of their assignment via email one week prior to convention.

Provide coverage at the sales table of AVSA items.

Pre-Auction

Inventory, move and stage items prior to auction.

During Live Auction - Friday 12:00-2:00 pm

Spotter to help auctioneer see bidders, display items to audience during bidding, and write receipts to winning bidders.

Presentations

Collect tickets at the door for entry.

Tour Chaperone

Help collect tour tickets. Should be at the bus location~30 min before departure from the hotel and from the venue. For Friday, 5:45 p.m. at entry doors.

Show Room Host - Entrance

Entrance: A sit-down job to sell tickets to the public to enter the show and sale. A good activity for companions while others attend workshops, look at the show, or shop.

Show Room Host - Inside

Inside: Walk around showroom (may occasionally sit) to monitor public's interaction with exhibits. Good for a first-timer who enjoys visiting with people and being in the show room. A host should be friendly and welcoming, answering questions, and inviting our guests to join AVSA.
