On behalf of the African Violet Society of America Board of Directors and your Executive Committee, it is my pleasure to welcome you to the 2021 AVSA Cyber Diamond Celebration commemorating AVSA’s 75^th Anniversary. As you are well aware our 2021 Annual Convention in Atlanta, Georgia was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.  In addition, local and regional shows have been cancelled. Our African violets and other gesneriads were “all dressed up with no place to go” again this year. Thank you to Susan Anderson, Mary Corondan, Candace Baldwin, Richard Craft, Joyce Stork and others who were thinking “outside the box”.  We are offering you a virtual convention experience this year.

May 30 to June 6 is National African Violet Week! What better way to celebrate this event this year (yet another year of social distancing) than to have a virtual convention experience!  Many events are planned for this week including 2021 New Introductions from major hybridizers, the Cyber AVSA Show Room, Cyber AVSA Sales Room, Educational Presentations and much much, more!

You will be able enter photographs of your outstanding African violets, gesneriads and designs.  We look forward to seeing your entries. We hope this cyber event will continue to connect us through our African violets.
