Scavenger Hunt Rules

Find the 12 ‘Blue Boy’ icons hiding throughout the convention pages.
Depending on your device, hover over or tap the icon to see the hidden word. Make a list of these hidden words and, when you have found all 12, complete the Scavenger Hunt Entry Form.
Submit your completed Scavenger Hunt Entry Form no later than NOON on Saturday, June 5!
If more than person qualifies, all entries will be placed into a drawing during the LIVE Event Saturday, June 5, beginning at 7 pm CDT – to determine the Grand Prize Winner

Note: No icons will be hidden in the proceedings of the various Society meetings.

Other Rules and Limitations

Rules and Limitations:

1. All volunteer and AVSA staff working on the Cyber Convention website are ineligible to participate in Scavenger Hunt.

2. The winner must use the prize for the AVSA Convention in Little Rock, Arkansas, scheduled for May 2022.

3. The winner may not transfer or share the prize with anyone else.

4. If the winner is unable to use the prize, they will not be awarded the cash value. This is a use-or-lose prize with no substitutions or modifications.

Commercial growing of African violets in the United States began in 1926. ‘Blue Boy’ was one of the “Original Ten” African violets hybrids sold in the United States by Armacost and Royston of West Los Angeles, California. ‘Blue Boy’ is probably the most well-known of the early hybrids. It is still being grown and was the origin for numerous other hybrids, mostly notably ‘Blue Girl’ which was the first violet to have what is now called “girl foliage.”
